THE PATHS
TO KNOWLEDGE

Author's Note:

The paths that lead to Knowledge and Freedom are as diverse as people.
As Don Juan used to say, in the end, what matters for everyone is whether or not our path has heart.

My intention in creating this site, is to share with those who can benefit
from the paths with heart that I have traveled and that have made me thrive, laugh and cry, and feel alive..

These paths, are the only ones we really need to go through, so that when the Great Huntress arrives,

and her dark eyes watch us for a moment as we dance our last dance,
we will be able to see her without regrets and tell her with the absolute conviction that we lived our life to the fullest:

“Yes, it was worth it!…!”

How it all began…

Since I have the use of reason (and for no reason) I have been moved an inner fire to know and understand what is around me, as well as what is in me. The scope of my curiosity always seemed to know no limits and that is why I became interested not just in humans and nature, but also in science, art, history, cooking, and how to find meaning in life and be happy even in the midst of the most difficult circumstances.

Above all, my thirst for knowledge has guided me to understand what is and what could be a human being. I started researching all these topics as a child and I have never been tempted to stop.. That has been, and is, the task that I find both fascinating, sacred and fun.

Along with the continuous findings of my research, I also discovered a vocation to share them with other human beings, which is coupled with my other lifelong passion: solve problems that seem impossible to others. I realized that a great part of the suffering that afflicts us comes from our lack of knowledge about ourselves., as well as the lack of a relatively functional organization of the chaos that inhabits us.

This is how my first writing experience arose. I was about ten years old, when I began to write about what seemed to me to be the obvious nonsense of religion and the dubious benefit of believing in a god fond of handing out prizes to those who pleased him and punishments to those who angered him. In addition to discovering literature at a very early age, At the beginning of my adolescence I discovered nature and began to talk with whoever wanted to listen to me about that strange expansion of consciousness that I realized happened when we spent enough time among trees, rivers, stars and sunrises when we pay more attention to the environment than to our repetitive thoughts.

From there my first groups and workshops were born, which arose more from the desire to share adventures with others than from the desire to teach.. I started taking people to the countryside when I was 17 and for the next four decades I have continued to do so, although now I do it less frequently and I prefer small groups in which nature and people can be heard better and in which the truthful word flows more easily.

When did you decide you would be a writer? When did you choose to be a group instructor?? Sometimes people ask me. !Never! I always answer. I never decided such a thing. I was just curious, and had a desire to discover the world and listen to people's stories. The rest just happened. I have been able to live from my work and do what I like and the best thing is that I have been able to get to this moment without having betrayed my principles or my pact with the Spirit by surrendering to fame or money.

These days I do few workshops, I write more and work with people who many times have also become great friends. I prefer the intimate work of one on one or with very small groups than the overflowing and sometimes somewhat useless energy of large groups. I have a lot to share. Much that has been given to me and much that I have to give. That's why this new platform. That's why I am starting this publishing company. That's why my new books and content. It is about giving everything because there is nothing to be taken on a trip that will never happen.. That's what this is about.

Something that I have always liked is finding solutions to problems that seem impossible. I just like it and I think I'm good at it. That is why my books are almost all manuals on how to do what interests us most and which seems so difficult. For example… how to learn to understand the silent language of nature… how to heal from the emotional traumas we carry… how to understand the message that our ancestors left carved on stones and pyramids… how to learn from indigenous knowledge without becoming facades which are just for appearances. How to learn without invading the communities of native peoples or preying on their natural sanctuaries. How to understand yourself and others. In fact, my career as a writer began with a book about how to use the inspirational power of Carlos Castaneda's books without going crazy or becoming addicted to drugs. I mean it..

Anyway… lately I am interested in making known that the most authentic spirituality, which is healing and necessary and has nothing to do with dogmatism, fantasies or cults of personality of anyone. I am also interested in how to prevent tech companies or crazy politicians from taking over our greatest treasure: our ability to direct our own attention.

About the Paths to Knowledge…

In fact, All this long introduction is to show some parts of how I came to this vision of the paths of knowledge that I present on this site. It arose as an understanding from reviewing the themes of my work, the books that I have published and those that are on the way. It reminds me of another of the questions that I have been asked on several occasions: Why do your books and workshops touch on such diverse topics? … The answer is that I am interested in everything human and we humans have may aspects in our lives that which are interesting.

Through my research in urban or indigenous communities, my workshops and individual coaching sessions, counseling or mentoring, I have been able to notice that the people who are interested in my work have very diverse backgrounds. It was evident to me that each of them had been following very different and personal paths in the search for their personal development., of solving their problems or finding their goals. As I am not dogmatic but curious about what works best to achieve our goal, It seemed completely natural to me to explore multiple paths and that is why in my work I have developed the different paths that I speak of in these pages.. Reviewing my books, I realized that each of them explored and offered a practical perspective of a certain path of growth, specific path of development or healing. Always with the perspective of autonomy in which we do not have to depend on teachers who take us by the hand, that has always characterized my work. This is why I often say that the Way of the Warrior is essentially the way of responsibility., while the path of the victim is the path of desolation.

This is the reason why this website contains sections alluding to the different paths that in turn refer to different books that can help the interested reader to explore these paths for themselves.. I invite you to explore and discover, perhaps some of them can also be your paths.. Hopefully we are clear from the beginning that the authentic paths are to be done on foot and do not depend on an “enlightened master” to take over the direction of our lives and lead us by the hand. The paths that we can talk about are only doors and clues. Only your own steps can make them come true.

I invite you to do it.

Welcome…
